Honoring The Past, Serving The Future
      .....the tradition of care continues

From the CEO:

True to its founding mission in 1928, Pioneer's services have evolved over time to meet individual needs and the changing needs for different levels of care. That founding mission still rings true and guided us as we expanded our facilities through the Care Center , the Pointe, the Cottages, and our plans for a new facility on our Mabelle site.

We have grown our services for skilled care through a full array of therapies and wellness initiatives for our long and short term residents. Home health services are now delivered at the Pointe, allowing individuals to live independently and to phase into services as they need them. Our memory loss services at the Cottages are another example of specialized care.

With plans to break ground Spring 2009, we are about to take a bold step with a $22 million expansion plan on our Mabelle site. We turn 80 with a sense of pride for our rich history and great eagerness as we pursue our future.

The new facility and its services are being designed and created in response to the changing needs of our residents and in anticipation of the aging baby boomer population. We are living longer. We need more space to accommodate special needs and services.

The next generation of residents will likely be more physically active and will expect new generation technologies --- things like Internet access to stay in touch with their grandchildren. Certain core services will always be our hallmark: health care, socialization, spiritual programming, activities and therapies that are in tune with resident needs.

Turning 80 is not an every day event. We are proud to have been a part of the social fabric of our community for 80 years and look ahead to continuing in partnership as a community service, religious-based organization.

John Richards, CEO
