PioneerCare Certified Nursing Assistant Class
Did you know? PioneerCare offers a free class to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The next class is starting Tuesday, June 1, 2021, with a few open seats still available.
Your first step? Apply online at PioneerCare. If you’re accepted, we’ll invite you to job shadow a current CNA for a shift. You’ll see what a typical day is like. If it feels right, we’ll get you signed up for class. Successfully complete it, and we’ll even pay the test fee to get you state-certified.
PioneerCare Center Employee Scholarship Program
This wonderful program is for current care center employees who wish to grow within their positions or to pursue a new direction within the organization. PioneerCare will pay towards tuition, fees, and other eligible expenses for employees completing coursework through an approved, accredited educational institution. Eligible Applicants: PioneerCare employees who work at PioneerCare Center only. Administrators, department supervisors and managers are NOT eligible. PioneerCare Center Loan Repayment Program
This program reimburses the monthly, quarterly or annual payments of student loan expenses (up to the actual expenses for the period being reimbursed) as long as the individual is employed with the facility. Eligible Applicants: Newly hired and recently graduated employees who are completing or have just completed a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) degree program may apply. Lillian Saure Nursing Scholarship – through PioneerCare Auxiliary
Working first as a nurse at the hospital in Fergus Falls, Lillian Saure worked to become the first administrator at Pioneer to be certified by the State of Minnesota, and served in that capacity from 1965 to 1975. A scholarship was established in her name to help students begin or advance their careers in nursing.
Applications are accepted in the spring with a May 15th deadline for students planning to attend coursework in the fall. Eligible Applicants: PioneerCare employees AND members of the greater community. Contact PioneerCare Human Resources for complete details or download and print an application.
Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Scholarship Program
This program relies on funding approved by the State of Minnesota, supporting education for employees in housing with services, homecare, and other community based services to advance in their careers. Eligible Applicants: PioneerCare employees who work at Pioneer Cottages, Pioneer Pointe, and PioneerLink. Contact PioneerCare Human Resources for complete details.
