Visits to Pioneer Cottages in Fergus Falls and Breckenridge are Permitted.
Please follow these guidelines for visiting:
Planning Your Visit
To plan your visit, please read the following information and if you have questions, call 218-643-9572 in Breckenridge, or call 218-998-9678 in Fergus Falls.
While reservations are not required, it’s helpful to call ahead to ensure the resident is available and prepared for your visit.
Number of Guests and Visit Length
Pioneer Cottages must limit the number of visitors in the building at any given time. Each resident may have up to 4 guests visit together. Each building can allow 5 residents to host visits at the same time. Because of this, please keep your visit within a one-hour period, so others have the same opportunity to visit with their loved one.
You’ve Arrived
When you first arrive, you will need to prescreen, take your temperature, wear a mask, and sanitize your hands at the house entrance. You will also need to sign in on the visitor log, record your name, time of arrival, and your phone number in case we need to reach you later. You will need to visit the pre-screening station and sign in for each day you visit.
Then, you should proceed directly to the resident’s room. Visits should occur within the resident’s room whenever possible. Otherwise, please and steer clear of other areas, and practice physical distancing measures between yourself and other residents and staff.
Coming and Going
Residents who are fully vaccinated may leave the building for medical and non-medical purposes without quarantining upon their return. Newly admitted residents no longer require quarantine. Residents with a positive COVID test result or a high-risk exposure will still need to quarantine for 14 days.
Please see Protocols Shared by All Locations for more details.
We have a designated COVID unit where we isolate and cohort residents while they recover from a laboratory confirmed case of COVID-19. Visits with residents in the COVID unit are restricted.
