What’s it like to join the PioneerCare team of all-stars?
Stop by, grab a free burger or brat, and find out! We’re hiring nursing assistants (CNA’s), caregivers to work in memory care, homemakers (a dietary/hospitality position), household cooks, housekeepers, and nurses.
PioneerCare will host a Hiring Event & Picnic from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 14 outdoors at PioneerCare Center. We’re inviting prospective employees to check us out, have lunch on us (burgers, brats, and more), meet real Pioneer employees (not actors), apply for open positions to get a chance to win tickets to a Minnesota Twins game, and have on-the-spot interviews.
Nursing assistants need to be CNA certified or be ready to enter our nursing assistant class starting August 3. You also need to be 16 years or older before working as a CNA.
Caregivers do not need certification, although it’s preferred. Caregivers may also apply to start our CNA class in August. Caregivers are trained to specialize in memory care within our Pioneer Cottages next door to PioneerCare Center in Fergus Falls and at our location in Breckenridge, Minnesota.
Homemakers benefit from having some hospitality and cooking interest, experience, and/or aptitude.
Household Cook positions are like homemakers and benefit by bringing the same types of skills and interest as above. Household Cooks typically do a little more of the cooking.
Housekeepers need to be detail oriented, respectful of resident needs and rights, and understand the need for consistent cleaning for infection prevention.
Nurses need to be licensed by the State of Minnesota, either as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s) or as Registered Nurses (RN’s).
Because PioneerCare frequently serves vulnerable people, all PioneerCare employees must successfully pass a criminal background check.
PioneerCare residents and employees frequently describe our culture using the word “family” and applicants are more likely to succeed here by having a big heart. That means having a strong sense of empathy for others, a desire to make life better for those you serve and work with, and a wish to make a daily difference in the work you do.
Just stop by anytime Wednesday, July 14 between 11 am and 1 pm. It’s Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie, and PioneerCare. Can’t make it that day? Learn more and apply online!
