PioneerCare Auxiliary announces the opening of their new Dragonfly Gift Shop at PioneerCare Center, 1131 Mabelle Avenue South in Fergus Falls.
The gift shop was the brainchild of Liane Barton, PioneerCare’s longtime volunteer and activities director. Liane passed away in 2017, but the dream lived on and now has finally come to fruition. Liane loved dragonflies, and that’s why the shop’s name was chosen.
All profits from sales in the Dragonfly go to directly support resident needs at PioneerCare. For example most recently, the Auxiliary used such funds to support the annual family picnic, provide digital clocks designed for people with impaired vision, a “white sound” machine to promote better sleep, and other specialized needs that cannot be fulfilled through PioneerCare’s operational funds.
