Individuals interested in food service at PioneerCare may fit within several types of positions at PioneerCare, depending on their availability and skill level. A Dining Attendant or Homemaker works in a residential-style kitchen plating and serving the evening meal and snacks. Dining Attendants also clean and set up their kitchen at the end of their shift to ensure it’s ready for the next day.
In addition to duties of a Dining Attendant, a Household Cook prepares made-to-order breakfasts for residents, plates and serves the noon meal, and prepares special snacks and desserts for residents. Both the Dining Attendant and Household Cook get to know residents on a personal level.
A Chef plans and prepares meals, snacks, and desserts in a main kitchen within either our care center or Pioneer Pointe apartments, to be served for residents and guests within those living settings. A Chef also provides menu items for employee meals and PioneerKids on-site childcare. A Chef works with additional kitchen and serving staff to ensure meals are on time and consistent in quality.
Food service professionals at PioneerCare work in a clean and stable environment and receive benefits not typically offered in other food service settings.
