Nursing homes today are a place of transition…often a stepping stone on the way home. Many of the people admitted to Pioneer, are doing so for short-term rehabilitative services to regain function and then return home.  As a health care provider in today’s rapidly changing world, it is necessary to offer choices in order to meet individual needs.

The Therapy department at Pioneer is dedicated to helping individuals to regain strength and independence in order to reach their maximum quality of life.  For some, that means therapies that will allow them to remain in their home.  To meet that demand, Pioneer has stepped up their variety of services.  We are now able to provide both in-patient and out-patient services for physical, occupational and speech therapies for our residents as well as individuals in our surrounding community.

For those that come to Pioneer to stay, therapeutic exercise and functional training are the cornerstones of treatment.  Therapy is one of our primary methods for working with individuals to prevent loss of mobility. Therapy develops fitness and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles, even for those who make Pioneer Care Center their permanent home.
