Justin Boldt’s Week 4

July 11, 2018

Editor’s note: As administrative intern at PioneerCare, Justin Boldt is sharing his experiences with us on a weekly basis. Watch for updates here on our News and Events page.

Wow time flies, I have officially been at PioneerCare for a month now as the new administrative intern and so far it has been great. I am truly blessed for receiving the opportunity to learn at this facility. Over the past 4 weeks I have gotten to know a lot of the staff and residents and it has been an honor to learn from them. I have gained deeper knowledge on financial management, marketing, and Medicaid/Medicare. Outside of just learning it has also been a lot of fun, going back over the whole month I went shopping with residents, played bingo, went fishing out on the lake, and attended the PioneerCare annual 4th of July picnic. I’ve had a lot of opportunities to work on special projects that were interesting to me such as organizing contracts, MDH registration, and grant proposals. It has been a great experience and I can’t wait to see what the next 5 months have in store for me.
