Pioneer…a name chosen in 1928 because it was a new and better way of care. Since then, our commitment to care for those who cared for us, is still the cornerstone of our mission.  Our name continues a marked reputation of being distinctive in what we do.  Our organization has been built over time with exceptional people giving of themselves.  Service above Self allows us to continue to establish trust and reliability of our programs and services.  Indeed, our dependability comes from scores of exceptional friends.  We wish to extend our gratitude and appreciation to this community for all the years of allowing Pioneer to touch so many lives.

Our dedicated staff has been serving people 24 hours each and every day.  Through WWII and peace, economic boom and The Great Depression, as well as Minnesota blizzards, when extra effort was important, extraordinary commitment was delivered.  Pioneer is humbled by staff who continue to do whatever it takes to carry on our very important mission.  “Your home is our home, your choice is our choice, “ are the ways work begins and ends.

Our volunteers add a great deal of strength to the work we do each day.  Dozens of these volunteers give countless hours of their time, and these gifts of self continue to define who we are and help lead us into the future.
