Capital Gifts

Through the years, PioneerCare Foundation has conducted special campaigns to provide for facility needs. The Foundation was instrumental in raising funds to build Pioneer Pointe in 1997. The Foundation helped PioneerCare finance the purchase of a 14-acre site on Mabelle Avenue where the PioneerCare Center and Pioneer Cottages now stand.

Most recently, the PioneerCare Foundation raised more than $2.2 million in its Pioneering the Future campaign. Donor gifts enhance the new PioneerCare Center through specialized equipment, artwork, custom-made furniture for public spaces, pianos, an organ, and the lovely gathering place, our Celebration Center Chapel.

The Chapel Challenge: We continue to raise funds for the Chapel Challenge undertaken by our five ELCA stakeholder churches. Together, we have raised more than $194,000 of the $250,000 goal. Each congregation holds its own fundraising activities. By working in collaboration, we have hosted the Concordia Choir and the Saint Olaf Choir with these concerts providing more than $50,000 of our achievement. Contributions honoring loved ones, gifts of $10, $25, $50, now total more than $25,000.
