PioneerLink® HMS

Offering Sensor Technology at Home

Providing breakthrough technology in remote home monitoring, PioneerLink® offers the Home Monitor System (HMS).

Never before has sensor technology for home monitoring been available community wide. PioneerLink is proud to lead the way.

The WellAWARE system was first developed by the University of Virginia about ten years ago. Today, the system has been proven to increase overall health and well being for its users.

The WellAWARE system is available in west central Minnesota, eastern North Dakota and eastern South Dakota as PioneerLink HMS. Subscribers have a variety of sensors installed in their home to monitor motion, humidity, temperature and sleep patterns.

PioneerLink staff work with the client and/or caregiver to develop an individualized response plan at time of installation. The response plan will include protocol enabling Pioneer Link to contact the appropriate responder for every condition.

After installation, the HMS system establishes an individualized baseline of daily living activities for each client. Variations from the client’s baseline are monitored continually by a registered nurse from the PioneerLink response center in Fergus Falls. The response center will discuss variations in daily living activities with the care provider or other appropriate responder based on the individual’s established protocol.

Clients gain peace of mind, greater autonomy and enhanced care through a collaboration by PioneerLink, home care providers or other medical personnel and family members.
